Antje Tiemann

Antje Tiemann joined HARTE-BAVENDAMM in 2019. She advises clients mainly in trademark and unfair competition law, the law of business identifiers as well as copyright law.

Her focus is on strategic advice and litigation, but also on relation to extrajudicial enforcement of intellectual property rights and claims for unfair competition comprising the effective protection against such claims. Furthermore, she advises clients regarding their trademark portfolios, including proceedings before the German PTO as well as the EUIPO.

Antje Tiemann studied law at the University of Hamburg (specializing in media law) and completed her legal clerkship at the Hanseatic Higher District Court of Hamburg.

She started her professional career as Legal Counsel of the GEMA (German Society for Musical Performance and Mechanical Reproduction Rights) General Directorate in Munich. Subsequently, she was Legal Counsel for media and broadcasting law in the Media Office of the Hamburg Senate Chancellery, where she also worked for the International Department and was appointed Data Protection Officer.

Before joining HARTE-BAVENDAMM Rechtsanwälte, she worked as a lawyer in a commercial law firm with focus on IP law.

Antje Tiemann is a member of the German Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (GRUR). She speaks German, English, Italian, French, Spanish and Danish.
