Dr. Michael Wittlinger joined HARTE-BAVENDAMM Rechtsanwälte in 2023. He advises clients in all matters of intellectual property law.

Michael Wittlinger studied law at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich with a focus on intellectual property and competition law and attended a specialised language course for English, Spanish and French as well as complementary studies in information law and legal informatics.

After the First State Exam, he obtained a doctorate at the University of Munich, winning the award of the faculty of law for his thesis. Subsequently, he completed an LL.M. in International Competition Law and Policy from the University of Glasgow, where he was awarded the price for “most outstanding student” on the programme.

He then received his legal traineeship at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court of Hamburg with stages, amongst others, in chambers for intellectual property and competition law at the Regional Court of Hamburg as well as the legal department of an international wind engineering company and the German competition authority (Bundeskartellamt).
