Dr. Malte Lieckfeld is a partner at HARTE-BAVENDAMM Rechtsanwälte.He represents national and international clients before German courts as well as in opposition and invalidity proceedings before the German PTO and the EUIPO. He has particular experience in negotiating demarcation and license agreements. Furthermore, he advises and supports his clients in strategic questions regarding the development, extension and management of their design and trademark portfolios. His clients include international and national companies from the areas of furniture and lighting, fashion and clothing, luxury articles as well as the consumer goods industry.

Malte Lieckfeld studied law at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Muenster. During his studies he completed complementary legal studies in the Common Law. Additionally, he holds an LL.M. in Commercial law, main focus on IP, from the University of the West of England, Bristol. After his first state exam Malte Lieckfeld acquired a doctoral degree in law (Dr. jur.) at the Institut für Informations-, Telekommunikations- und Medienrecht, Prof. Dr. Thomas Hoeren, Muenster, for his thesis on digital libraries under German and American copyright law.

He received his legal traineeship at the Hanseatic Higher District Court of Hamburg and was admitted to the bar in 2013. Before joining HARTE-BAVENDAMM Rechtsanwälte, he worked for a renowned Hamburg-based law firm in the area of intellectual property law.

Malte is a certified IP-lawyer (Fachanwalt) and a member of the Deutsche Vereinigung für gewerblichen Rechtsschutz und Urheberrecht (GRUR) and the European Communities Trade Mark Association (ECTA). He speaks German, English and French
