Karolina Schöler is a partner and co-founder of HARTE-BAVENDAMM Rechtsanwälte. She represents and advises international and domestic clients in all areas of intellectual property. She gives strategic advice and has broad experience in IP-litigation. Her special focus is on unfair competition, the law on advertising of medical products, copyright law and IT/software licensing. Her industry expertise includes, inter alia, pharma, fashion, furniture, consumer products and information technology.

Karolina Schöler is co-author of a commentary on the German Act against Unfair Competition (UWG), a Handbook on Unfair Competition Law and of a commentary on software and IT-contracts. She teaches copyright law at the University of Osnabrück.

Karolina Schöler studied law in Freiburg, Paris and Munich and received her practical training at the Court of Appeal in Hamburg. Karolina Schöler did a Ph.D. in patent law at the Max-Planck-Institute for Intellectual Property and Competition in Munich. Her dissertation won the award of the faculty of law of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich.

Karolina Schöler was admitted to the bar in 2006. After practicing with a medium-sized law firm in Hamburg and a major UK law firm in Hamburg and London she founded HARTE-BAVENDAMM Rechtsanwälte with Henning Harte-Bavendamm and Michael Goldmann in 2008.

Karolina Schöler is group reporter of the national committee of the AIPPI and a member of GRUR and DGRI. She speaks German and English.
