Andrea Jaeger-Lenz is specialized in advice, litigation and dispute settlement in intellectual property and unfair competition law. She represents clients in disputes in these areas in front of the German courts. She acts for her clients in German and Community trademark and design procedures in front of the competent offices. This includes the litigation in trademark and design procedures in front of the German Federal Patent Court as well as the General Court and the Court of Justice of the European Union. Andrea Jaeger-Lenz is experienced in the management of large trademark and design portfolios and in the drafting of license and demarcation agreements.

As a member of the Legislative Advisory Committee for Intellectual Property, Vice-Chair of the Committee for Intellectual Property and Media at the German Lawyers Association (Deutscher Anwaltverein), as well as member of the Admissions Committee for Intellectual Property at the Hamburg Bar, Andrea Jaeger-Lenz actively participates in the development of Intellectual Property Law on the national and European level. Since 2000, Andrea Jaeger-Lenz is a member of the Panel of Domain Experts at the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center. She is author of a book on advertising law and co-author in commentarie and handbooks on intellectual property, unfair competition law and Community trademark law. She regular lectures and publishes articles on these subjects in legal magazines.

Andrea Jaeger-Lenz studied law in Passau and Cologne and took her legal exams in 1989 and 1994. In 1992 she obtained her doctor’s degree at the University of Cologne with a dissertation on art law. In 1996 she became partner of a leading German law firm. From 2001 onwards, she was a partner with Latham & Watkins, before she joined, in 2009, HARTE-BAVENDAMM Rechtsanwälte. She is mentioned in the “JUVE Handbook” 2014/2015 as a very experienced and highly competent trademark lawyer and is counted, in “Chambers Europe”, among the “Leading Individuals Trademark and Unfair Competition” for Germany.
