Caroline Tanguy advises national and international clients in all areas of intellectual property law and adjacent fields such as passing off and misleading advertising. Her practice is focused on trademark law.
She represents her clients in and out of court as well as in registration, opposition and invalidity proceedings before the German PTO and the EUIPO. Also, she offers strategic advise to businesses on the development, extension and management of their trademark portfolios, on the legal coordination of worldwide product launches as well as the introduction of new brands and their protection against attacks from third parties. She negotiates and drafts Prior Rights and License Agreements.
Caroline studied German and French law at the Universites of Saarbrücken and Lausanne (Switzerland). She completed her legal traineeship at the Hanseatic Higher District Court of Hamburg and was admitted to the bar in 2012.
Before joining HARTE-BAVENDAMM in 2019, she worked several years for a renowned Hamburg-based law-firm in the area of intellectual property law. She is fluent in German, English and French.
